It’s surprising how long this excellent film managed to stay off my radar. It's one of those situations where the promotional material doesn’t really do justice to what the movie is actually like, so you end up questioning if it will hold your attention. I’d had a copy for quite a while, mostly because I try to collect everything Disney-related, but I didn't really understand how good it was until my son and I decided to watch it together. It isn't perfect; there are some shortcomings, especially regarding the choice by Disney not to include an important fight sequence. Nevertheless, the film is still quite delightful thanks to its entertaining characters and a lovely depiction of family relationships. The connection between the coach and his team really stands out as a highlight. Even though I think the story could have used more emotional depth and stronger writing, it was ultimately a very pleasant experience that made me feel good afterward.
