I wasn’t sure about seeing this movie at first, but I took a chance anyway despite my doubts. It's positioned as a romantic comedy, trying to blend serious scenes with humor. The actors are good, the story is entertaining, and what happens feels fairly standard. A funny part comes from the confusion involving the parents, which highlights how ridiculous it is that both of them were having affairs with the daughter’s future husband. However, when this secret gets out, it doesn't have the effect it really should. Rather than big fights or heartfelt attempts to make things right, the ending feels weak and not nearly as chaotic as it needed to be. The movie doesn’t look at what happens afterward, so there are unresolved issues hanging around. It seems like a chance for a more powerful and complete finish was lost because of problems with the script. Near the end, the film just stops without really looking at how the parents' choices affect everyone. This lack of finality leaves you wanting something more, feeling let down by how things are left unfinished. I’d say it’s an average movie that doesn't have much substance, and I’m giving it a rating of one and a half stars.
