It’s sure to please viewers looking for something akin to Evil Dead, but with an international flavor. The gore and special effects are well-executed, although the characters aren't always easy to root for—with one exception being the young girl. This was my first time seeing it, and I found myself replaying several scenes because they were so good. It’s absolutely worth watching, particularly now that a sequel has been released.
