It’s a peculiar film; I found myself losing interest as it progressed, but ultimately, I’d say it's something worth experiencing. Knowing the true story that *May December* is "loosely" inspired by, I was curious to see how they’d approach it. I believe they handled it reasonably well—the actress meeting the subject really helped keep my attention more than it might have otherwise. Natalie Portman, Julianne Moore, and Charles Melton work exceptionally well together on screen, each delivering a memorable performance. Portman stood out most for me, although Melton's presence is particularly impactful in the latter half of the film. The supporting cast also does a good job, with especially fitting choices for the children of the two main characters. It’s clearly a polished production, but it did drag on a bit during its nearly two-hour length—I think it could have benefited from being trimmed down. The piano score, while quite good in itself, feels overused at times. That said, I still enjoyed it and would suggest checking it out.
