Watching _Mauvais Sang_ gave me a sense of effortless cool – as if I'd spent time smoking cigarettes in a brightly lit backstreet while reading poetry aloud to an empty space. It’s atmospheric, visually striking, and at times hard to follow, but there's genuine feeling underneath all the dark, troubled mood. Juliette Binoche is captivating whenever she appears, and Julie Delpy possesses that naturally detached appeal that really suits her. And Dennis Lavant—wow, he moves! That particular scene was incredible. I’m convinced it should be required: Dennis Lavant needs to dance in every movie. Not just the films he's part of – all movies. The story isn't always solid, but the overall feeling is perfect.
