A man named Pak Hon Chu ("Cheng") and his son, Lucas Hsuan as "Niu Niu," arrive in a small Finnish town by bus, searching for someone called "Fongtron." They quickly discover that no one knows who they’re looking for, leaving them seemingly stuck. Fortunately, Sirkka, the owner of a local diner (played by Anna-Maija Tuokko), has an empty room and offers them shelter. The diner's food isn't exactly fancy—sausages and mashed potatoes are pretty much all that's available. When a bus carrying Chinese tourists breaks down nearby, she generously offers to feed them, but they aren’t thrilled with the menu. Cheng steps in and manages to create a noodle dish at a local supermarket that proves to be a hit. As things progress, both Cheng and Sirkka begin to see how they can work together; she might even be able to help him locate the person he's after. I found the young boy, constantly on his phone and seemingly bored, to be particularly memorable. The story’s emotional aspects felt somewhat familiar, as did the backstory explaining why the father and son are seeking this individual. However, there were also some amusing moments thanks to the diner’s regulars, Romppainen (Kari Väänänen) and Vilppula (Vesa-Matti Lori), who provided a reminder of how intense a sauna experience can be with branches involved. There's a genuine sense of warmth here, and it's an enjoyable film overall.
