This is a decent movie about 'Mary Kom'. Like many biographical films, it does deviate from the actual events, but in a way that works because the resulting narrative is quite engaging. I think it could probably be trimmed by twenty or thirty minutes, though; even with that, the rhythm felt acceptable—the depiction of her boxing journey helps maintain momentum. Priyanka Chopra delivers an excellent performance as the central character, and Sunil Thapa provides strong support in his role as Singh. Darshan Kumar is also dependable as Onler. The acting across the board is perfectly adequate. The musical score fits well with what's happening on screen. You don’t have to be interested in sports to appreciate this film. It’s worth seeing.
