The pacing felt a little sluggish at times, even so, *Marighella* remains quite good. Seu Jorge delivers a performance that’s definitely worth noting, especially considering acting isn't really his main thing. I also found Bruno Gagliasso to be effective in this film; it wasn’t the character himself but rather the actor’s work that stood out. The other actors, like Humberto Carrão and Luiz Carlos Vasconcelos, deserve recognition as well. I had very little familiarity with Carlos Marighella beforehand (the name sounded vaguely familiar) or with Brazilian history during this period, which I actually appreciate because it allows me to evaluate the film on its own merits; any prior knowledge would only get in the way. Because of that, I can’t comment on how accurate this biopic is, but I will say that it doesn't shy away from difficult subject matter—there are some very intense scenes throughout its nearly three-hour length. Regarding the film’s duration, I do think it could have been trimmed down a bit – I wasn’t eager for it to end, but there were instances where I felt it would have benefited from moving along more quickly. It's not really a significant complaint on my part, though.
