The movie Mama takes a brief horror video and turns it into a longer story about the strange, unsettling side of a mother's devotion. The actors who play the children do a good job, and the film looks visually striking, creating an unsettling feeling throughout. However, certain parts feel hurried, and some of the characters aren’t as fully realized as they could be. Even with these shortcomings, it tells an interesting supernatural story that is still enjoyable.
