It has to be acknowledged that this is an unusual film; it’s hard to classify as either good or bad, simply strange. It was nice to see James Wan going back to his horror origins while he waits for *Aquaman 2* to begin filming. There were sections of the movie that didn't quite work, and I wasn’t overly impressed with the performances. The directing itself felt unremarkable, except for the final scenes which did have some striking qualities. It isn’t bland or easily dismissed, but I don’t feel a strong urge to watch it again. **2.75/5**
