Florence Pugh is undeniably talented, though her performance here doesn’t quite reach the heights of something like Lady Macbeth. The film itself felt dull and lacked any real sense of novelty. It simply didn't manage to frighten me; what started as a potentially unsettling ghost story ultimately devolved into an irritating sequence of unpleasantness. The characters weren't fleshed out well, there wasn’t enough suspense, and the overall feeling was underwhelming. I’m rating it 5 out of 10 stars—it would have been even lower if not for my appreciation of Pugh’s work.
