I’m not entirely convinced by everything presented here, but the performances from Zendaya and John David Washington are remarkable – genuinely flawless, it seems to me. These two actors really shine; I enjoyed their portrayals completely, whether in the more dramatic scenes or when things were lighter. The acting is superb, easily among the best I’ve seen recently – I'm being sincere about that. As mentioned earlier, I have some reservations regarding other aspects of the film. I wouldn't describe it as poor or a letdown, but my feelings are mixed. However, the strength of the two main actors overshadows any concerns I might have about different parts of the production; they lift the whole thing up considerably. I would certainly suggest watching 'Malcolm & Marie' – primarily to witness Zendaya and Washington’s work.
