This film works very well as a continuation of 'Dirty Harry'. My reaction to this one mirrors my feelings about that earlier movie from 1971. They aren’t groundbreaking films, but they are certainly enjoyable and possess a distinct atmosphere. Clint Eastwood is excellent in the lead role, and while the other actors don’t quite reach his standard, they perform admirably. The narrative is good, and it moves along at a steady pace; I found myself liking it.
