It simply didn’t appeal to me. I watched the initial installment and can’t recall feeling anything similar about this one. My concern is that this film seems geared toward women, possibly including LGBTQ+ viewers. As a heterosexual male, I didn't find it enjoyable or engaging; instead, I felt increasingly distanced as the movie continued without offering content suitable for a broader audience. I realize no one solicited my thoughts. I do acknowledge and respect the film’s attempt to cater to a specific demographic. The road trip aspect was acceptable, aside from the music and dance sequences. Fortunately, there's no nudity, with only one brief exception, despite its R rating due to strong sexual content. Regardless of the underlying theme, I anticipated a compelling narrative. Instead, it felt much like watching a documentary. There wasn’t any particular emphasis on individual characters, although Channing Tatum had a prominent role. The story lacked development beyond a group setting out on a road trip to compete in something. It's quite different from the first film and feels somewhat disconnected. I don’t expect everyone will share my perspective, but you might find my observations helpful when deciding whether or not to view it. I am certainly not advocating for a boycott; I remain neutral and simply stating that it didn't resonate with me, though it may appeal to others, particularly women. 4/10
