This is a story about a father’s unwavering support for his daughter. The narrative unfolds within a zombie apocalypse, focusing on the bond between a parent and child. When the daughter contracts a virus that transforms people into flesh-eating creatures, her father remains devoted to her, but it leaves you wondering how much longer the movie will last. It began as a screenplay deemed unsuitable for production, eventually becoming a modestly budgeted film—a surprise given Arnold’s involvement. Chloe Grace Moretz was initially considered for the lead role and would have been an ideal choice, especially considering her performance in the 'Carrie' remake; however, Abigail Breslin stepped in and delivered a commendable portrayal. I've watched numerous films featuring Arnold Schwarzenegger, but this marks what I believe is my first time seeing him portray a character with such everyday realism and emotional depth. Perhaps his age prevents him from taking on the physically demanding roles he once defined, but I’m glad he’s selecting projects that suit him at this point in his career. The film is categorized as horror, and the reason for that label is apparent, though it wasn't particularly frightening. It’s a deliberately unhurried and straightforward zombie movie. The cast makes it an enjoyable watch, but ultimately, it’s something you’ll likely forget quickly and move on from. 6½/10
