It resembles a less intense adaptation of *'Mad Max'*, though it’s still enjoyable. The title *'Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome'* seems odd, because the most engaging scenes take place in the Thunderdome; consequently, when the story shifts away from that setting, it loses some appeal. I wasn’t particularly fond of the sections reminiscent of *'Peter Pan's* Lost Boys – not because they are poorly done, but simply because they aren't what I anticipated from this series. Mel Gibson delivers a solid performance in his familiar role, and it's interesting to see Tina Turner in a significant supporting part. However, as before, the acting didn’t really grab me. I realize I sound repetitive, but the action sequences are truly what carry these films forward. It is easily the least impressive installment of the series. I am looking forward to *'Mad Max: Fury Road'* being the strongest one, which – from what I’ve heard over time – it apparently is; with Tom Hardy taking on the lead, I expect to find that 2015 film enjoyable – here's hoping!
