I found myself appreciating *’Mad Max 2'* more. It proved to be an enjoyable experience overall. To me, everything seemed a little more developed. Mel Gibson’s portrayal of the main character felt stronger, and so did the supporting characters and those opposing them. The action remains consistently intense, providing considerable entertainment value alongside some humorous elements; it was a letdown that the peculiar eye-bulging joke wasn't included this time around. I do think the concluding scenes go on for too long, but it’s not a significant issue. The narrative is definitely more engaging—I believe it suits the film’s bleak world much better and is simply a more memorable watch than the story in the first movie. Gibson delivers another dependable performance, as do Bruce Spence and Michael Preston. Honestly, I have to say that across these initial two films, the actors don't particularly make a lasting impression—it's really about the action sequences! I’m curious now to see what *'Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome'* has in store.
