I wasn’t sure what to expect going into *M3GAN*. The previews seemed over-the-top, yet the involvement of Blumhouse and James Wan made me think it might be worthwhile. After reading other opinions, I decided to give it a chance, and I'm happy that I did. It was silly, no question about it, but the film itself appeared aware of its own absurdity, embracing the cheesiness while still managing to build suspense. There were numerous familiar “just do something” moments that unexpectedly heightened the feeling of dread. While I wouldn’t describe it as frightening, it proved to be a very good thriller. It's an enjoyable offering from Blumhouse—a film that balances self-awareness and silliness with unsettling tension. A particularly memorable moment for me was a brief scene featuring what has to be one of the least competent police officers ever portrayed; I genuinely laughed out loud during that part in the cinema. *M3GAN* won’t appeal to everyone, but those who enjoy other Blumhouse productions or dark comedies will likely feel right at home.
