It fulfills the bare necessities for a gentle narrative featuring uncomplicated characters and pleasant themes, though it doesn’t come close to being a truly stimulating, inventive, or exceptionally enjoyable film. The comedic elements stemming from the main character's bad luck do generate some chuckles, but these jokes feel overused and familiar, echoing gags seen many times before in movies. Oddly enough, the three-dimensional animation doesn’t seem capable of conveying much feeling or personality in the characters, instead focusing on the visually appealing settings around them. The musical score attempts to improve the movie with sentimental music, but it's not sufficient to prevent this from being the first disappointing animated release of the year. Rating: C
