The director of 'Irreversible' presented a story told in reverse order. The film begins with a couple engaged in sexual intercourse, then transitions into a flashback triggered by a phone call. This flashback recounts events starting from that point and moving back to the beginning, as experienced by a character recalling those moments. While the concept was intriguing, it wasn’t necessarily the reversed storytelling itself that stood out, but rather how the characters were portrayed. The narrative follows a straightforward structure, reminiscent of '9½ Weeks', alternating between dramatic scenes and explicit content roughly every 10 to 15 minutes. I hoped to connect with this film, but I didn't feel the blend of drama and sex was entirely successful. A more seamless integration would have been preferable. Considering the unconventional narrative style, a significant plot hole remains unresolved; it doesn’t explain what happened to a character central to the storyline. If you are primarily interested in adult content—something beyond just a pornographic film—you might find enjoyment here. The excessive runtime was another problem. At two hours, an adult-oriented movie feels unnecessarily drawn out and tests your patience; trimming it down to under 90 minutes would have improved the pacing. The acting performances were adequate. The promotional poster is quite provocative and may entice viewers. However, don’t anticipate anything groundbreaking either in terms of explicit content or dramatic depth. It fulfilled its purpose within its limitations, but ultimately I found it to be an average film, slightly below par. _4.5/10_
