Despite a truly terrible song used for the opening and closing credits, this last chapter in the Antoine Doinel story is something you can appreciate. The movie moves along at a decent clip initially, though it does get bogged down later with some extended flashbacks that have different visual formats. Jean-Pierre Leaud brings his characteristic appeal to the role, and he’s really why anyone should see 'Love on the Run.' It's disappointing that Truffaut seemed to pull material from his previous films just to make the film longer.
