It’s pretty underwhelming. *Love on Iceland* is largely what you anticipate from a made-for-TV movie, although it does offer a minor twist by setting events in Iceland—it deserves recognition for actually shooting there. The storyline is straightforward and completely foreseeable, but the cinematography is generally good, featuring some nice drone shots, even if occasionally certain visuals felt reminiscent of Eurovision introductions. The acting is fairly standard. Kaitlin Doubleday (as Chloe) and Colin Donnell (as Charlie) are adequate; they’re not bad, but they're not particularly memorable either. I believe the filmmakers overlooked something—Preston Sadleir (Kenneth) and Kate Easton (Erin) seemed to have a stronger connection—it’s hard to say if they could carry a lead role, but their romantic subplot was more engaging than Chloe and Charlie’s. The Icelandic scenery does enhance the film somewhat, but it's still slow-paced. 2½ stars.
