This entry in a sequence of French action movies carries a resemblance to “Fast and Furious.” While I found earlier installments enjoyable, this one seems lacking in originality. The plot struggles to develop into anything particularly captivating. The predictable, uninspired action set pieces don’t help matters, along with an apparent, though slight, attempt at incorporating contemporary social themes. Fortunately, the performances are good, but they aren't enough to overcome the film's shortcomings. Hopefully "Last Bullet" will truly be the last of its kind; it’s a forgettable French action movie that doesn’t quite hit the mark.
