The initial movie was enjoyable enough, and proved successful at the box office. Seeing that as an opening, the people in charge decided to make another one, which did a little better financially than its predecessor; however, the resulting film lacked substance. The visuals were passable, but generally quite bad during those big action set pieces, which are really crucial for this kind of story. Not all of the action was awful, but the narrative was pretty flimsy. Really, there wasn't much of a story at all – it’s just an action-thriller like the first one. That’s what this series is about, I suppose, but as a sequel, it feels disappointing and predictable. I can understand why the original director chose to leave the project; he was probably given a poor script to work with. London has now become the setting for an attempt on the US president's life. This second film felt more like a computer game than a movie with actors performing their roles. London is portrayed as a battlefield, and the story progresses level by level until it reaches its conclusion, although we already know who prevails. I honestly couldn’t say whose performance was better because there wasn't anyone who stood out. The film’s box office success was remarkable, so I doubt the filmmakers will be rushing to develop another script. But if they do, I wonder which city will be targeted next. Tokyo or Canberra would be good choices; Mumbai could also work well. It isn't a terrible movie—you can watch it once—but it’s like sitting beside someone playing a video game. 6/10
