I began to notice which corporate emblems were missing after just a couple of minutes in. It does offer criticism of worldwide branding, not solely American companies, but that doesn’t really lessen the feeling of repetition throughout. Even when a car chase is thrown in to try and make it more interesting, there's some brief romantic interaction and even an earthquake—none of which truly help. The screenwriters should have realized that profanity alone isn’t enough to create humor; I found myself losing interest pretty quickly. While the film is put together skillfully and moves at a rapid clip, successfully highlighting how much advertising and marketing influence our lives, seeing Ronald McDonald with a Uzi 9mm did elicit a chuckle, but beyond that it's unremarkable and loud, and feels like too much of a drawn-out effort to make its point. I was thinking—Starfleet Command isn’t included….
