My friend and I have been watching a lot of Stallone films lately, but we bypassed _Lock Up_ because we wanted something with intense action, and this seemed more like a sentimental story. We finally watched it though, and I… ended up really enjoying it! It’s as corny as I thought it would be, but surprisingly, that corniness actually works well. Of course, it's not on the same level as _Shawshank_, but if I were to compile a list of all the worthwhile prison movies ever made, _Lock Up_ would definitely earn a spot. _Final rating:★★★ - I liked it. I’d suggest checking it out._
