It's a genuinely enjoyable film that I’d happily watch again and would suggest to others. While there are a few references that feel dated now, the movie generally remains appealing. The central themes haven't changed; it essentially portrays football as a competition between privileged and disadvantaged groups, incorporating a notable emphasis on female empowerment. It was really nice seeing a group of unconventional kids collaborating to conquer challenges. I wish Rick Moranis were still working regularly—his performance is excellent. The filmmakers put a lot of effort into developing the characters, and the film has many delightful scenes. If you appreciated "Benchwarmers" or "The Sandlot," and you’re looking for a football-themed movie in that style, this one might be worth your time.
