It seems Eric Dane may be regretting his decision to take on the role of Governor of Oklahoma, as his time in office concludes unexpectedly. He can’t help but revel in the moment when his administration oversees the execution of a Mexican drug lord’s brother. The previously fragile peace is now shattered, and his aide "Billie" (Annabeth Gish) along with her contact - and his former commanding officer - "Doc" (Frank Grillo), find themselves in precarious situations while "Miguel" (Maurice Compte) plans retribution. This involves his violent and enigmatic brother "Cuco" (Beau Knapp), who devises a scheme to kidnap "Doc’s" daughter and compel him to carry out their schemes. What follows is simply disappointing. It resembles a video game where people are constantly killed, with minimal suspense until the final moments, and even then, the resolution lacks any real shock value. The storyline itself stretches credibility, and the performances fail to create a genuine feeling of threat in this repetitive, drawn-out, and excessively lengthy tutorial for aspiring assassins. I suggest you skip it.
