I seldom find myself wanting a film to simply continue indefinitely, but with Lilo & Stitch, extending its length significantly wouldn’t have been unwelcome. It's an exceptionally well-made animated movie, easily among Disney’s finest achievements. Stitch has really become recognizable in popular culture; he resonates with viewers in the same way as characters like Jack Skellington and Bart Simpson do. Beyond his undeniable cuteness, part of Stitch’s appeal probably stems from the fact that a character designed for destruction ultimately serves to reunite a fractured family. The movie occasionally deals with difficult themes. Lilo's experiences evoke thoughts of other children who were often misinterpreted by adults and institutions. However, ultimately, Lilo & Stitch leaves you feeling good, transporting you to a place of genuine happiness.
