It’s disappointing to observe the loss of what made the series special. Disney seems to be stumbling again, diminishing a beloved story by replacing Tim Allen, who did such a great job voicing Buzz, with Chris Evans. I really hoped for the snappy jokes and humor that someone like Allen consistently delivered in the Toy Story films, but the filmmakers chose another path entirely. The movie feels standard and foreseeable; it’s hard to distinguish it from other animated movies set in space geared toward kids.
