The concept behind *Lifeforce* seemed promising: space vampires arriving on Earth with Halley’s Comet, leading to chaos in London. However, I discovered that it was largely a noisy, ridiculous, and awkwardly paced film. The movie shifts so rapidly between science fiction elements, horror, large-scale destruction, and exploitation that its various themes don't have the chance to develop properly. While there are some striking visuals and special effects—along with a few unusual scenes that stick in your mind—they aren’t enough to overcome the awkward writing, slow parts, and acting that fail to make the narrative feel believable. Rather than evolving into the eccentric cult favorite it seems to aspire to be, *Lifeforce* came across as an unfocused jumble with a polished exterior. The film's notoriety for being openly odd but inconsistent—as well as complaints about its lack of momentum—accurately reflects my viewing experience.
