This film is a genuinely quirky and vibrant experience. Right from the beginning, viewers are immediately immersed in Alana’s story and follow her through an array of unusual events and changes. Very little background information or context is provided regarding the central characters; it feels more like experiencing their romantic journey firsthand, with all its highs and lows. I did appreciate the occasional humorous instances and found myself laughing on several occasions. It successfully captures the atmosphere of the 1970s, and I personally relished every minute of watching it. Predictably, some groups have responded to this movie, but there’s nothing inherently offensive about it. I recommend seeing it.
