It's fun at any age to watch Lethal Weapon, which really is the best buddy cop action film around. Mel Gibson and Danny Glover work incredibly well together as the impulsive young officer and the seasoned one who learns to appreciate him. Gibson delivers another memorable performance as Martin Riggs, a character who’s both charming and troubled, searching for something to live for. Glover's Roger Murtaugh provides a good contrast to Riggs with his grumpy but likable personality. Their bond deepens throughout the story, drawing viewers in and making them want to see what happens next. Ultimately, Lethal Weapon is an action-packed film where the heroes take down some formidable opponents! It significantly influenced action movies when it was released in the eighties. The only thing I didn’t like was that the beginning has a bit of nudity; if that were removed, this could easily be considered the perfect movie to watch during the holidays.
