I consider this among the greatest action films ever made, placing it alongside classics like Die Hard. Lethal Weapon remains remarkably enjoyable because of the strong connection between Mel Gibson and Danny Glover. Even acknowledging the somewhat exaggerated final fight sequence, it’s simply a thoroughly entertaining film from beginning to end. (The reason I chose to watch it again today was that I noticed it was playing on A&E, and instead of settling for a poorly edited version, I figured I'd opt for the original in 1080p HD.)
