"Lethal Weapon 2" delivers numerous action set pieces, frequently leading to widespread destruction as a form of amusement. These moments are skillfully handled and contribute to what is already a very enjoyable, though not especially unforgettable, moviegoing experience. It seems the thoughtfully developed writing intended to clarify the plot is often abandoned in preference for an easier route—namely, explosions or unnecessary violence. Ideally, this wouldn't be such a standard tactic within films of this type.
