It's possible to argue that _Back 2 tha Hood_ stands out as the best film in the _Leprechaun_ series, and it's strange to even say that. It manages to be more logical than the others. However, it doesn’t connect with what came before or any of the other films in the franchise. Like all the sequels, there’s no way any **two** of these _Leprechaun_ movies could form a connected storyline. But, on its own, _Leprechaun: Back 2 tha Hood_ surprisingly has a clear plot progression, characters, setting and mythology—which is quite something. It's a little shameful that the standard is so low, but here we are. The Leprechaun in this film also displays his most brutal and physically violent behavior yet, and that’s saying something. _Final rating:★★½ - I found many things appealing about it, but it didn’t quite gel._
