“Leo,” Lokesh Kanagaraj’s new film starring Vijay, tries to explore similar ideas as "A History of Violence," but doesn't quite manage to capture what made that movie so interesting. The movie draws from “A History of Violence,” intending to look at questions of identity, violence, and whether someone can find a way back from past actions. Ultimately, "Leo," directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj and starring Vijay, doesn’t live up to what it set out to do in terms of echoing “A History of Violence.” Despite the good music score and some exciting action, the film doesn’t provide a satisfying movie experience, leaving viewers wanting something with more depth and impact.
