It’s hard to believe any film with "_The Final Chapter_" tacked onto the end truly is the last installment. The gruff and weathered crocodile hunter who supposedly perished in the previous film reappears as an Environmental Protection Agent—a development that feels pretty illogical, but it's honestly not surprising given how silly the _Lake Placid_ series became. This kind of narrative inconsistency happens again with another character carried over to the following movie. It’s also probably not a fitting conclusion for something presented (incorrectly) as _The Final Chapter_. _Final rating:★★ - There were elements I enjoyed, but ultimately it didn't quite work._
