I thought they handled Lake Placid 2 pretty well, setting aside those pointless scenes that earned the R rating. The acting isn't stellar, nor are the performances particularly memorable, but it delivers the familiar blend of spoof and horror—the same amount as the first film. It really could have benefited from a little more computer-generated imagery and a more focused script; then it would have been significantly improved. **Grade C**.
