It seems _Lady Bird_ is the film from 2017 that puts me at odds with pretty much everyone else’s opinion. Throughout the movie, I didn't find myself engaged. To be truthful, I didn’t have a good time watching Greta Gerwig’s first try at directing. I haven't found anyone who shares my feelings about it, but I want to be honest about what I experienced. I usually would say something like, "It simply isn't the type of film that appeals to me," but last year _Edge of Seventeen_ explored very similar themes and I thought it was one of the best movies of the year. So I must just be off base? _Final rating:★½: - Boring/disappointing. Avoid where possible._
