The follow-up to the 2014 movie, L-DK Hitotsu Yane no Shita, (Suki) Ga Futatsu, examines what happens with the couple as they navigate life together after falling in love. The connection between Aoi and Shusei is more apparent this time around, aided by a smoother narrative flow; however, certain moments require a significant suspension of disbelief and come across as excessively theatrical, even if they’re still entertaining to watch. A particularly noteworthy part involves the emotional strain when Shusei unintentionally hears Aoi and Reon talking, which really brings out the movie's ideas about love, competition, and the precariousness of choices made during adolescence.
