Returning to this childhood favorite now that I'm grown up, it’s true that some of the scenery shifts around in a way that rivals a Monty Python bit. You can tell they used miniatures too. However, does it really matter? The narrative itself is genuinely strong. It involves an adventure with dependable friends, a villainous foe, and a princess needing saving—all wrapped up in a sword-and-sandal style science fiction story that manages to be quite compelling, even though it’s a type of adventure we've witnessed countless times before. It's simply enjoyable, and for children, it feels like an epic film they will cherish forever.
