I’d been hearing positive things about their take on this traditional story, and although it wasn’t unpleasant—there were some amusing parts and the actors were pretty good—it didn't completely win me over. The special effects were acceptable, and the scary bits were okay, but I never really felt drawn into what was happening. It just didn't quite become a horror film for Christmas that I would love, and I don’t have any real interest in watching it again anytime soon. 3.25/5
