This is an unexpected and unsettling Christmas movie, particularly given its anti-holiday sentiment. It reminded me of a Finnish film called 'Rare Export,' which I haven’t enjoyed as much in some time. I was surprised to see it rated PG13, though ratings vary internationally. There are definitely intense scary moments that might be startling even for grown-ups, but there's no gore. The violent scenes were skillfully handled and filmed; they remain integral to the narrative without being explicitly shown. It seems like a clever approach to filmmaking, especially considering it’s intended for a family audience, and ultimately, I think it worked out well. I wasn't familiar with the story or some of the terminology used in the film. However, I was concerned about the visual quality since this isn't a high-budget production, and the actors aren't exactly A-list names. Nevertheless, it delivered a satisfying result. There are no significant shortcomings, and any minor issues are easily overlooked because the movie provides genuinely suspenseful entertainment that will keep you on the edge of your seat. Having said all that, I suggest you at least consider watching it. Just be aware that the plot revolves around a sense of dread during a severe blizzard as people start vanishing one by one. 7/10
