Given previous works like Trollhunter (2010) and the subsequent Troll films (2022, 2025), it's clear that Norwegian filmmakers possess expertise in creating fantastical creatures. This film continues that trend, presenting a story serving as a warning about interfering with the natural world. The actors were well-chosen, and the development of both main characters and villains gives them understandable reasons for their actions and believable connections to one another, which makes the suspense feel meaningful. The filmmaking is strong, and the visual effects are quite impressive. A significant number of practical props enhance the larger computer-generated imagery, resulting in a seamless combination. I found this movie very enjoyable.
