It’s easy to miss what makes this film special; most viewers seem to simply not grasp it. The typical moviegoer anticipates a straightforward action experience and that's all they focus on. That’s misguided, though! While the film certainly contains plenty of action sequences, if that's your sole expectation, you'll overlook the real depth of Tom’s performance and the many subtleties he brings to his role. There are countless understated moments woven into the story; I honestly couldn’t even start to quantify them all. For instance, Roy is portrayed as an operative who never deceives, and he possesses a strong moral compass reminiscent of a child's innocence. To truly appreciate it, you have to view this film without being preoccupied with just the action.
