Upon close observation while viewing the film, I was surprised by the sheer volume and intensity of the violence depicted. We see Native people attacked, consumed, and deliberately crushed underfoot by Kong’s weight. The sailors were pursued, trampled, and devoured by dinosaurs, and then there's all the brutality that occurs in New York City—Kong throwing a woman to her death and biting someone who happened to be nearby. Considering its age – over 85 years old – the special effects remain remarkably impressive and convincingly realistic. I’d even say these effects are superior to those in the 1976 remake, and they approach the quality of the 2005 computer-generated version. If you've avoided seeing this classic, perhaps because you assumed it would be an outdated style of animation or that you can only enjoy films with modern visuals, I strongly recommend giving it a chance. And for those who have already seen it, I suggest watching again, maybe with a fresh perspective.
