It centers on Jack, a teenager who finds himself frequently targeted by older students. The story begins with Jack taking retaliatory action, but soon he’s facing consequences of his own. Things escalate considerably, and the resolution unfolds later in the movie. This is a brief film featuring a well-constructed script. I wasn't initially impressed; it seemed like just another familiar teen movie. However, the latter half completely altered my perception, particularly concerning bullying and how it’s viewed beyond simply victim and aggressor. It functions as an awareness piece, although the conclusion seems more geared toward cinematic conventions than delivering a social message. The young actors perform well, especially Jack, Ben, and a few others. There's no explicit content, but there is one scene that feels realistic in depicting teenage interests. This doesn’t make it unsuitable for viewing; instead, it stands out as a stronger film within its genre, improving as the story progresses. It’s easily one of the year’s more overlooked good movies.
