This film was a truly frustrating experience; I doubt I’ll revisit it and can’t really suggest others do either. It seems like an attempt to merge "Barry" and "The Office," but they needed a recognizable name to draw audiences, so Arnold Schwarzenegger joined the cast—and he looks fantastic, naturally accepting the paycheck. I genuinely enjoy most of the actors involved, including Schwarzenegger; I’m sure making this movie was fun for them. However, it serves as a textbook example of how not to approach found footage and highlights the difficulty in executing a convincing mockumentary. Many of the comedic performers come from sketch comedy backgrounds like SNL or sitcoms. Hannah Simone played a supporting role in "New Girl," and aside from Taran Killam, few have led their own series—perhaps they didn’t grasp that filmmaking differs significantly from producing television episodes. I'd be thrilled to see this group collaborate on a better project because the script relies too much on underdeveloped characters with vague reasons for their actions, plus an excessive amount of humor designed solely to grab attention ("Look at me! Dad! Are you even watching?!"), or situational jokes that require considerable effort to establish or clarify. I was genuinely excited about this film, which may explain my harsh assessment. The core idea is excellent, but the script seems like a joke because it's intended as a comedy, so they sacrificed some of its potential impact and depth. There are also several moments where physics don’t seem to work correctly; I might have overlooked these if the rest of the film wasn't already so irritating, suggesting that I shouldn’t even notice them. Ultimately, I'm not angry—just let down.
