I was surprised to find this film available on Amazon Prime, and it’s easy to understand why it wasn’t more widely released. The absence of Jean-Claude van Damme is noticeable, although Sasha Mitchell returns. However, his presence doesn't really compensate, as most viewers likely have little interest in him, similar to the reaction to van Damme’s absence. The story itself presents a significant issue. Sasha gets pulled back into some kind of conflict involving the dojo. This feels repetitive because the storyline is familiar—we’ve encountered it countless times before, and it's no more engaging than those previous instances, but considerably less so than when the concept was fresh and original. Essentially, you have a predictable plot combined with a sequel that lacks the lead from the first movie. It was practically set up to fail.
